Alpha devlog #10 - Moving Items in Inventories


Hi there!

One new devlog to keep everybody in touch with the current development of my colony survival game "Too Far, Too Late", in which you create a colony on the moon and strive to survive.

In this devlog I show many details about the implementation of the inventory system, how it will change some existing gameplay, and how it will allow progressing on other features that I want to implement in the game before releasing it.

The main changes for this devlog are:

  • Implementation of items and inventory
  • The game now starts with a lander that contains all the resources needed to build the base
  • Building an object now requires specific parts
  • Improvements in the task system for more coherent behaviors of the colonist

There is more to come in the next devlogs, with implementations of more gameplays to implement farming (greenhouse), mining, and crafting items.
