Alpha devlog #3 - Atmospherics


This is the 3rd development video update about our game project "Too far, too late" in which you build a human colony that must survive in space.

In this video I show some of the mechanics the game will use:

  • Building placement
  • Electrical Circuits Atmospherics
  • Air pipes

So far, Atmospheric simulation handles: Rooms and planet/moon atmospheres, Air pipes, mixing different atmospheres compositions and temperatures.

The main atmospherics devices implemented so far are: Vent (to passively exchange from a room to a pipe), Radiator (to passively transfer heat/cool), Pipe  Heater (to heat pipe content using electrical energy), Pump (to actively transfer air content from a pipe circuit to another), Life Support System (to provide the initial atmosphere to the colonists)
